Protection more than Style

Style and protection, more than an accessory, sunglass is made to serve a particular purpose, and that is to serve as a protection for our eyes against the harmful effects of Ultra Violet rays.
Overexposure to the UVB radiation can cause sunburn and some forms of skin cancer; it may also result in acute and chronic health effects on the skin, eye, and the immune system. Focusing more on the eye as the object of this article, Ultra violet lights are hazardous to the eyes, and extreme exposure can cause the so called “welder’s flash”; a painful ocular condition sometimes experienced by welders who have failed to use adequate eye protection, not only that it may also lead to cataracts, pterygium, and pinguecula formation, these are just few of the possible defects and diseases that we can get due to long time exposure to this kind of light.
Sunglasses, as what it name imply, is one of the most commonly used and effective protective gear in minifying the entrance of ultraviolet lights on our eyes. Protective eyewear is beneficial to those who are working with or those who might be exposed to UV radiation, most especially to the short wave UV. Considering the fact that light may reach our eyes from all sides, full coverage eye protection is usually warranted.
Why would you let ultraviolet radiation damage your eyes, and be the reason for its loss when you can do something? The right choice of protective eyewear or sunglass is the simplest and the cheapest way that you can do, and here are the things that you need to consider in choosing one for you.
Select sunglasses that block ultraviolet rays. Don’t be deceived by color or cost. The ability to block UV light is not dependent on the darkness of the lens or the price tag. You can choose from a wide variety of sunglasses from wholesale sunglasses and the retail ones, there is always something that would suit your budget, to save more it is advisable to purchase those wholesale sunglasses and share some pieces to your family, you have saved money and at the same time you have promoted the importance of caring for your eyes. Ideally, your sunglasses should wrap all the way around to your temples, so the sun’s rays can’t either enter from the side, as what we have discussed the sun’s rays penetrates all around, that’s why it is ideal to cover it from side to side to ensure that only minimal amount of light UV rays enter your eyes. As an addition, wear broad-brimmed hat to protect your eyes. Don’t be fooled by a cloudy day. Don’t you know that sun’s ray can pass through the haze and thin clouds? UV light is most intense early in the afternoon so consider this time to wear your sunglasses best.

Great post, people do need to remember the point of what sunglasses are for but it's a fashion thing like most things these days. Look at apple products, they do what other things do but are more "fashionable" so people want them just for that aspect alone.
